The big horned sheep is a force to be reckoned with, its horns alone weighing in at around 14kg, and with a double layered skull they are definitely battle ready! Fortunately they only tend to fight among themselves during mating season, also known as the rut. Within the native American tradition they are associated with the sky (strange!) and seen as protective guardians.
