About Gareth Wild

I'm an English artist and photographer, and I've lived in Iceland since 2023 with my wife. I've painted and drawn all my life, and wildlife has always been my subject. I paint realistic animals in acrylic on canvas, and I've been selling my work for over ten years.

I also served in the British Army before turning my attention back to art.

I'm happiest outdoors. Iceland's wild landscapes, horses, birds and glaciers give me new subjects, and I photograph them as well as paint them. Conservation matters to me, and my work is about celebrating the animals we share this planet with.

Every limited edition print is printed on 308 gsm cotton paper, then hand signed, numbered and packed by me. If you'd like a painting of your own animal, get in touch about a commission.
